My Friends,
I am a Jew from America who has watched the death and destruction for many years now. I know that you are virtually trapped in Gaza and do not have many if any opportunities to work and earn a living wage. I know that your city has been bombed and that many have been killed and many more are seriously wounded. I write articles to try to bring some attention to the daily issues of Palestinians the West Bank as well as Gaza and work to find a place for understanding that we can all travel to in our hearts and minds if not directly on foot. I believe we need a meeting place that allows for each to listen to the other and share their stories of life and death in Gaza, in Hebron, in Jerusalem, in Ramallah, in Bethlehem and S'derot and Ashdod and Jaffa, and Nazaeth and Tel Aviv and more. I brought an interfaith delegation to Israel/Palestine last March and will continue to build bridges. I pray for understanding at the political as well as the personal level and that peace will come to the Holy Land in 2009.

אני יהודי מאמריקה, הצופה במוות ובהרס זה שנים רבות. אני יודע שאתם ממש כלואים בעזה ושבאמצעותכם מעט אם בכלל אפשרויות להתפרנס. אני יודע שעירכם הופצצה ושרבים נהרגו ורבים עוד יותר נפצעו. אני כותב מאמרים על מנת לנסות להביא תשומת לב לענייני היום הפוקדים את תושבי הגדה המערבית ועזה ופועל לקראת מציאת מקום להבנה שתמצא דרכה אל ליבינו ואל מחשבותינו, אם לא ישירות אל מעשינו.
אני מאמין שאנו זקוקים למקום מפגש שמאפשר הקשבה אחד לשני ולשתף את סיפורי החיים וסיפורי המוות בעזה, חברון, ירושלים, רמלה, בית לחם, שדרות, אשדוד, יפו, נצרת, תל אביב ועוד.
הובלתי משלחת רב דתית לישראל ופלסטינה בחודש מרץ אשתקד ואמשיך לבנות גשרים.
אני כולי תפילה להבנה ברמה הפוליטית והאישית וששלום ישכון בארץ הקודש ב 2009.
